Molecular sieve regeneration can be regenerated in two situations:
One is to change the temperature, that is, “variable temperature”, which can be regenerated and reused by ventilating or evacuating when the temperature is increased. It is to remove the adsorbed substances by heating the molecular sieve. In industry, the preheated regeneration gas is generally used for heating, purging the molecular sieve, and taking away the desorbed adsorbate. Most use this method.
The other is to change the relative pressure, that is, “variable pressure”, and regenerate and reuse under the condition of reducing the relative pressure. Generally used in gas phase adsorption process. The basic method is to keep the temperature of the adsorbent constant and to remove the adsorbate by reducing the pressure and blowing back with inert gas.
Regeneration medium: hot dry gas can be used (nitrogen is preferred). The degree of regeneration depends on the temperature, flow, and humidity of the hot dry gas (the optimal regeneration temperature is 180-350°C), the outlet temperature is ≥150°C, and the regeneration time is 3-6 hours.
Regeneration pressure: Under normal circumstances, the dry gas at 180~350℃ will pass through the molecular sieve bed for 3~6 hours under the pressure of 0.3~0.5Kg/cubic centimeter, so that the outlet temperature will reach ≥150℃ and not exceed 180℃, then cool.
